DermaDock is a free, non-commercial academic research tool. Given a chemical structure it reports which of 35 dermatological protein targets the molecule is most likely to engage, the conditions those targets are treated in, and an estimate of whether the molecule could cross skin — or it reports that it cannot tell.
Accuracy is stated openly in the application and in the accompanying manuscript, including where the method fails. The reported target-recovery figures are conditional on the molecule's true target being one of the 35 in the panel; for an uncharacterised compound that condition may not hold, which is why the tool is built to decline to answer. Use the numbers as published, with their stated limits.
Sign-in uses Google. You are responsible for the security of your Google account and for activity under it. One account per person. Do not share credentials or attempt to sign in as someone else.
The service runs on a single shared machine with four processor cores, and every calculation takes real computing time that other researchers are waiting for. Therefore:
Accounts that ignore this may be suspended without notice, so that the service remains usable for everyone else.
You keep whatever rights you have in the structures you submit. We claim no ownership of them and no rights over any invention arising from them.
By submitting a structure you permit us to use it and its computed results for three purposes only:
All three happen on the server that runs DermaDock, and nowhere else. Your structures are never transferred off that server, never disclosed to any third party, and never shown to other users. Aggregate figures we publish are counts only and never reveal a structure or identify a person. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
If a structure is confidential enough that it should not be processed on a shared academic machine under these terms, do not submit it here — run the platform locally instead.
This is a research service maintained by a small academic group. It is provided as-is, without any guarantee of availability, performance, or continued operation, and it may be changed or withdrawn at any time. Keep your own copy of any result you rely on.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the authors and their institutions accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from use of this service or reliance on its output. You use DermaDock at your own risk and remain responsible for validating any result experimentally before acting on it.
